Green Ghana Project #2

Mobilizing for a Greener Future

The Green Ghana Day was introduced in 2021, by H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo as part of an aggressive national afforestation/reforestation programme to restore the lost forest cover of Ghana and to contribute to the global effort to mitigate climate change. The maiden edition was held on June 11 2021, where an estimated 7million tree seedlings were planted across the nation.

  • The 2022 edition of the Green Ghana Day was launched on 1st March, 2022 by the President of the Republic under the theme “Mobilizing for a Greener Future” with a target to plant at least 20 million tree seedlings on the 2022 Green Ghana Day – 10th June 2022.

Nkyirimma Organization in collaboration with Regent University College Of Science and Technology, hosted educative tree planting project with students and non students. The project comes with educating the people on the need to have a green environment by experts from the district assembly. It was a great experience to have Government as the main initiative of the nationwide program, as well as Regent community supporting the initiative. Nkyirimma say ” Ayekoo” to all our participants.
