About Us

GLaNO was informally established in October 2019 as nature’s observation group. GlaNO was established formally as environmental organization under Ghana registrar department in 2022. GLaNO is an NGO aimed at environmental preservation, maintenance and conservation of nature. We also aim at initiating academic programs ranging from basic education level to tertiary institutions. Long-run societal well being is also a core aim of the organization.

As part of environmental well-being organization, GLaNO plays a major role in areas like.

Education

Under education, we create awareness on environmental preservation to the public, this public education ranges from basic education level to tertiary institutions, as well as communities

Religion plays a vibrant role in many societies, GLaNO is therefore a friend to all religious bodies in the world. Environmental education through holy religious books is our prestigious objective.

Awarness for the conservation of species

Nature is made up of different kind of species. GLaNO take the task to explore the diversity of organism by the help of social media platforms such as Inaturalist (Inaturalist.org). Here we share these biodiversity from our local community to the world and learn more about them through experts from everywhere.

Cross-Culture

The above reason create a cross culture in both local and international platforms, where unknown species become known. New ideas on environmental preservation and maintenance are shared. Friendships are also created among participants.

Our vision is to be an eco-caring body, where the provision of jobs and the nation’s progress will depend on environmental maintenance. By upcycling, we hope to reduce pollution and depletion of natural resource.

Mallam Market Project

Distance from Mallam market –Dansoman beach; 7.6km (25minutes), fast route due to traffic condition. A river behind Mallam market flows to join the sea at a distance of 7.6km.This River is improperly manage by the inhabitants and the market community as a whole.
